Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Imo State Council, Comrade Ifeanyi Nwanguma, has commended the Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma for resuscitating the yearly pilgrimage which has been abandoned by previous administrations in the state.

Nwanguma who gave the commendation while receiving Pilgrims Forms for Members of Imo State NUJ from the Chairman, Imo State Christian Pilgrims Board, Rev. Fr. (Dr) Gilbert Alaribe at Government House Chapel, pointed out that Journalists in the state are happy with the governor, considering the giant strides of his administration since assumption into office, varying from infrastructural and human capital development.
Comrade Nwanguma assured the governor that journalists in the state are solidly behind him, adding that Journalists in Imo State will continue to support all his people oriented projects, programmes and policies.
He however expressed profound gratitude to Governor Hope Uzodimma for allocating five slots to Imo State NUJ, noting that Imo Journalists are deeply indebted to him for all his fatherly support and partnership towards their welfare.
Adding his voice, Chief Igbokwuwe Michael, from St. Marys Parish Umuaka who could not hide his joy, thanked God for the opportunity to embark on this years pilgrimage.
He thanked Senator Hope Uzodimma for offering Christians in the state the opportunity to visit the holy land and prayed God to continue to bless and protect him.
Chief Igbokwuwe also commended the Chairman, Imo State Christian Pilgrims Board, Rev. Fr. (Dr) Gilbert Alaribe for the peaceful manner the pilgrimage exercise has been conducted.
