‎Arrangements have commenced for the 2026 edition of the Imo International Film Festival (IIFF).

‎The maiden edition, held in 2024, featured a Master Class, Panel Discussion, Pageantry, Film Screening and Awards to deserving Nigerians who had distinguished themselves in various fields of endeavour.

‎According to the organizers, the second edition is scheduled to hold from July 23 to July 25, 2026 in Owerri, with the theme: “Screen to Market: Turning Stories Into Sustainable Enterprises.”

‎The President of the Imo International Film Festival, Hon. Chikezie Donatus Nkemdirim, popularly known as Don-Nkems, explained that the IIFF was borne out of a vision to foster the growth and development of African films within the African context and beyond.

‎He assured that the festival would be successful and would provide attendees the opportunity to learn, relearn and unlearn.
