Arrangements have commenced for the 2026 edition of the Imo International Film Festival (IIFF).
The maiden edition, held in 2024, featured a Master Class, Panel Discussion, Pageantry, Film Screening and Awards to deserving Nigerians who had distinguished themselves in various fields of endeavour.
According to the organizers, the second edition is scheduled to hold from July 23 to July 25, 2026 in Owerri, with the theme: “Screen to Market: Turning Stories Into Sustainable Enterprises.”
The President of the Imo International Film Festival, Hon. Chikezie Donatus Nkemdirim, popularly known as Don-Nkems, explained that the IIFF was borne out of a vision to foster the growth and development of African films within the African context and beyond.
He assured that the festival would be successful and would provide attendees the opportunity to learn, relearn and unlearn.
