The Members Of Imo State Tricycle Operators Association ( ISTOA ) trooped Out en-mass On Friday for Solidarity Love March For the State Governor Senator Hope Uzodimma In support of his administration.
The Members Of ISTOA marched from Dan Anyiam Stadium Owerri to Government House to register their support to the present administration led by Governor Hope Uzodimma.
Speaking during the Rally the State Chairman Of ISTOA , Comrade Michael Onyedika Ekwe said that the purpose of the Rally was to expressed their heartfelt gratitude and solidarity to Governor Uzodimma.
” we the members of Imo State Tricycle Operators Association( ISTOA ) and other sisters unions are here today to say a big thanks to His Excellency Governor Hope Uzodimma for His remarkable achievements in the Infrastructure Development”
Comrade Michael Ekwe Commended the state Governor for his efforts to transformed the transport sector and for construction of Roads which has enhance the economic activities of Members Of ISTOA.
The State Chairman Of ISTOA expressed joy that the construction of the roads by Governor Uzodimma has reduced cost of maintenance of their Tricycle and hours spent on bad roads
Ekwe noted that since the inception of the present administration Imo State has witnessed a level of development that is unprecedented in the history of the state and the pragmatic, articulated and proactive approach of Governor Uzodimma to governance has brought a new era of growth and prosperity to the state.
He appealed to Governor Uzodimma for empowerment of the members of ISTOA such as Loan or Grant that will empower members of the association and increase the transport value chain of the state.
He also requested for Land Allocation for building of their secretariat which he said that will go a long way to reduce the high cost of rents in their present office and pledged 100% to continue to support and partner with the State Government to ensure the success of programmes and projects of the Government.
He thank Commissioner For Transport Hon Emeka Okoronkwo for initiating policies that have brought peace and unity within the Union.
Receiving the Union at State Government House , the Chief Of Staff To Government House,Barr Nnamdi Anyaehie Commended the Leadership Of ISTOA ably led by Comrade Ekwe for restoring peace within the Union.pointing out that the era of internal crises is over.
Barr Anyaehie also thank members of ISTOA for maintaining law and order and promised them that the State Government will not relent in supporting the Union.
The Chief Of Staff promised to channel their requests including the loan,land allocation to the State Governor for his kind approval and made them to understand that the Governor has done a lot for the Union.
In his speech the State Commissioner For Transport, Hon Emeka Okoronkwo expressed joy with the Solidarity March which he said that shows that ISTOA acknowledged the good works of the state Governor.
Hon Okoronkwo noted that the good roads network in the state has made transportation business much easier.
