Chief Akagburuonye Plays Host To Lawyer Colleagues at NBA Annual General Conference, Enugu 2025

A legal practitioner, Chief Success Akagburonye has played host to his colleagues, Imo State lawyers, at the just concluded Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Annual General Conference, Enugu 2025.
The special gathering took place at the prestigious De-Dome Event Center with the theme, “Stand Out, Stand Tall.”

‎Chief Akagburonye, an Abuja-based legal practitioner who hails from Ogbor Uvuru in Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area, urged lawyers to take their rightful place in politics, stressing that as custodians of justice and order, they represent the heartbeat of professionalism in every society. He noted that only through active political involvement can lawyers effectively profile and ensure credible leaders emerge to govern the state.

‎He lamented the deepening poverty across the larger population, pointing out that in such difficult times, the quality of political choices becomes fundamental. He reminded colleagues that as elites, members of the legal profession must not shy away from scrutinizing and guiding those seeking public office, particularly executive positions.

‎Chief Akagburonye also commended the Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma, for what he described as giant infrastructural strides across the state and called on lawyers to not only recognize such progress but to also support the collective drive towards a better Imo.

‎In a bold declaration, Chief Akagburonye presented himself as a candidate ready to succeed Governor Uzodimma. He urged his colleagues to critically profile him even as he seeks divine guidance in his aspiration to lead the state.

‎Demonstrating his commitment to capacity building, he announced the sponsorship of four Imo lawyers to the forthcoming International Convention in Toronto, Canada. The pledge, which was received with excitement, was described as a show of his passion for empowerment and global exposure for colleagues.

‎Coordinator of the event, Dr. Mazi Udegbulem, in his remarks, thanked Chief Akagburonye for identifying with Imo lawyers during the historic NBA conference. He described the interaction as fantastic and timely, assuring him of the support and goodwill of colleagues in his future endeavors.
