…Admits 215 students for 2024/2025 academic session

The newly admitted 215 students of Claretian University of Nigeria, CUN, Nekede, Imo State have been charged to live up to the highest standards of integrity, discipline, and academic excellence as they embark on their educational journey.

The Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Wencelaus Madu gave the charge during the 4th matriculation ceremony held at the university premises.

He commended the students for their determination to pursue higher education and encouraged them to fully embrace the values and expectations of the institution. He also advised them to familiarize themselves with the student handbook, describing it as a vital guide throughout their stay in the university.

He emphasized the importance of character in addition to learning, reminding them that they are being prepared for roles as future nation-builders.

The Vice Chancellor said the University had zero tolerance to all forms of anti-social activities including cultism, examination misconduct, rape, sexual harassment and other vices, maintaining that anyone found guilty of such offences will face expulsion.

Some of the students who spoke with our reporter pledged to be focused and diligent in their studies, while also promising to be worthy ambassadors of the institution.
