The traditional ruler of Obeabo Autonomous Community in Oguta Local Government Area, Eze Dr. Uzoma Akopunwanne JP, has congratulated the newly sworn-in President General, Mr. Stanley Orji and other executive members of Obeabo Town Union Development.

The swearing-in ceremony took place at Community Secondary School, Izombe.

It followed a motion for dissolution of the electoral committee, led by the former President-General of Izombe Central Union, Deacon Jacob Onuigbo and seconded by Mr. Edward Oguwuike.

Eze Akopunwanne, who was represented on the occasion by Chief David Ogba promised to work harmoniously with the new executive till the end of their four year tenure.

He charged them to discharge their duties faithfully and prayed that their tenure would bring more development to the community.

Performing the swearing-in ceremony, Bar. Uchenna Onwuegbu charged the new executive not to allow their personal interest influence their official conduct or any official decision of the town union.

The Chairman of Obeabo Elders Council, Chief Cletus Nkemakolam and Elder Romanus Onuigbo assured the new executive of their support.

An excited new President General of Obeabo Autonomous Community, Mr. Stanley Orji who spoke on behalf of the executive, promised not to disappoint the people of Obeabo.

Others sworn in were Mr. Epundu Benjamin – Vice President 1, Mr. Raphael Okereke – Vice President. 2, Pastor Samson Okebata – Secretary General, Mr. O Celestine Onyemauwa – Treasurer, Mr. Clinton Nkemakolam – Financial Secretary, Mr. Innocent Amogaranya – Public Relations Officer.

The rest were Mr. Chinenye Onuigbo – Assistant Secretary, Mr. Moses Nlemchukwu– Auditor, Mr. Canice Onwukwe – Trustee, Mr. Julius Isikaku – Auditor, Mr. Akudinobi Chukwu – Provost 1, Mr. Emeka Igohim – Provost 2.

Also sworn in were Mr Sunday Okoro– Provost 3, Mr. Amaechi Uchechukwu – Trustee, Mr. Michael Ajaebionwu – Auditor and Mr Wisdom Anuforo – Trustee.
