Traditional ruler of obinnoha autonomous community in mbaitolu local government area of Imo State, Eze Desmond Nnamdi Ali (Obi II of Obinnoha) has debunked a false and malicious publication on Nairaland and Amebo9ja blogs alleging that he is a fraudster, duping unsuspecting public of their resources.
Eze Desmond Ali said the writer on the news platforms used fictitious name to fabricated untrue stories from the pit of hell adding that those behind the malign publication conspired to tarnish his hard earned reputation as well serve their selfish purpose whereas the whole stories is based on falsehood
While speaking to journalist, the revered traditional ruler reiterated that his philanthropy gestures in the community, has never been motivated on self interest or fraud rather for the purpose of uplifting humanity.
He narrated that the bone of contention was offering aid to an Anambra born Widow, Lotanna Eze (married to an Enugu billionaire, Chief Emeka Eze) who appealed to him to help her recover her late Ex-husband’s property, denied her by their family people, while the widow -Lotanna Eze, was legally divorced and documents sealed to that effect but she chosed to hide it from me.
Eze Desmond Ali also recounted that Lotanna Eze during the legal proceedings failed to substantiate her claims of being unduly stripped of her entitlements as she was long divorced with the husband before his death, only to surface after the funeral to lay claims of properties as his third wife.
“According to him, the false reports about me was orchestrated by one Mrs Lotanna Eze who was long divorced by Emeka Eze before his death, my only crime was that I withdrawed from giving her my assistance after i found out that she is not being sincere with the whole matter rather she wanted to use my position to achieve her ulterior motive.
“She lied about how the family was maltreating her and her children and made away with the documents of late Emeka Eze’s property
“After I came into the matter, I discovered at the court that their divorce was legally done, against her claims that the divorce did not follow due process.
“She is so desperate to acquire the properties of her late Ex-husband to the extent of telling me that one of late Emeka Eze’s properties in Wuse close to UBA bank at 1X plaza was given to her as a gift, she presented a document that was signed as a deed of gift which turned out to be fake as the documents never existed in the database, I still have all the fake documents she presented as my evidence.
“I had to disassociate myself from the matter because she wanted to ruin my image and career by giving me fake documents to fight her course, i also want to advise her to desist from the act of properties grabbing for herself and her children, she should be sincere to herself and have the fear of God”
Consequently, Eze Desmond Ali further admonished Lotanna Eze to sue for peace between her children and her late husband’s family instead of dwelling in falsehood and intimidations stressing that the approach would do her more harm than good while urging the general public to disregard the false claims and publications which is targeted to defame his personality.
