…Celebrates 10th Anniversary

A Non -Governmental Organization Christened Off The Hook Foundation For Rural Dwellers On Monday empowered over 500 Widows in Mbaise Imo State With Practical Income -generating Skills, Distribution of Clothing, Funds Household items, Food items and Medical Outreaches.
The Event took place at the place Of the Traditional Ruler Of Umueze Chokoneze Ezinihitte Mbaise Local Government Area Of Imo State HRH Eze Mike Nwamara.
Speaking during the ceremony the Founder Of the Organization,Ugoeze Chigbo Nwamara described the empowerment as part of the activities of the NGO to mark the 2025 International Widows Day and 10th years of service to humanity.
“Ten years ago, we embarked on this journey to support those often overlooked in our society, Widows hidden in remote areas, elderly citizens left without care and youths facing daunting challenges.what began as a modest effort has blossomed into a dynamic movement fueled by love, resilience and unwavering community support.”
According to her Over 20,000 Widows have received vital support from Off The Hook Foundation For Rural Dwellers such as food, clothing, shelter, advocacy, mentoring and helping them regain a sense of stability and more than 5,000 Widows have been equipped with practical skills, leading many to established thriving businesses and achieve financial independence.
“A standout achievement was in 2018 when the Off The Hook Foundation For Rural Dwellers in partnership with USAID , trained and empowered 108 young Widows out of 2,000 in attendance.They received sewing machines.”
She expressed the determination of the Organization to broaden its outreach to reach more communities across Nigeria and to develop new initiatives tailored to the changing needs of women,elders, youths and fostering a culture of growth and empowerment.
Also speaking the Husband Of the Founder Of the Organization, Eze Mike Nwamara expressed Joy that Off The Hook Foundation For Rural Dwellers have lived upto expectations with particular reference on the area of touching lives.
Eze Nwamara urged the beneficiaries of the Empowerment to use the fund judiciously to enable the Organization achieve its aims and objectives.
In his speech the Founder Of MAHAFA , Chief Richard Anyanwu thankef Ugoeze Chigbo Nwamara for such a wonderful gesture and assured her that MAHAFA will not relent to partner with her on the area of Medical Outreaches.
In her Vote Of thanks One Of the Beneficiaries, Mrs Chioma Emmanuel thank Ugoeze Chigbo Nwamara for the empowerment and pray God to bless her.
