A group under the aegis of Conference of Imo APC Support Groups, has endorsed Governor Hope Uzodimma for a second tenure.
The endorsement was contained in a communique signed by Hon. Amb Prince Darlington Onwuegbu, State Chairman and Hon Okere Ujunwa Kelechi, General Secretary on behalf of the group.
The group which boasts of over 3.4 million members across the State, noted that Gov. Hope Ụzọdimma’s administration has done marvelously in the state in line with his 3R mantra of Reconstruction, Recovery and Rehabilitation.
“Permit me to mention the Owerri/Okigwe Road which cuts across about seven LGAs; Owerri Municipal, Owerri North, Mbaitoli, Ikeduru, Isiala Mbano, Onuimo, Ehime Mbano and lastly Okigwe.
“The Owerri/Orlu Road Dualization with Street lights and the Njaba bridge that looks like EKO Bridge in Lagos.
“Also currently under construction and dualization is the Owerri/Mbaise/Umuahia Road.
“The roads constructed by the Governor have been testified by experts to be of high quality that will stand the taste of time.
“Civil Servants are now paid as and when due and also enjoy 13th month salary courtesy of His Excellency.
“There’s been several youth empowerments conducted in the state by His Excellency of which most of my members across the State were beneficiaries and earning a living now through that means.
“Reconstruction and rehabilitation of inner roads in the entire Owerri metropolis. The people living at Uratta Road off MCC have testified that they now ply the road even with their eyes closed, knowing how difficult it used to be to pass that roads; Chukwuma Nwaoha road with the balloon technology drainage system, recovery of Eke-Ukwu Market Owerri and its rehabilitation nearing completion, reconstruction of Douglas Road with Solar Street lights, Port Harcourt Road with Solar street lights, Dick Tiger Road.
“FMC Owerri was federal medical Center Owerri and now upgraded to Federal Teaching Hospital Owerri, attraction of Naval Base at Oguta, so numerous to mention.”
The group also expressed satisfaction over the Governor’s achievements so far and assured that Governor Uzodimma will put in his best if given the opportunity come November 11 governorship election.
They also extended their appreciation to the State Chairman of APC, Dr. MacDonald Ebere, the state Organizing Secretary – Hon. Iyke Umeh, the Chief of Staff to the Governor – Chief Nnamdi Anyaehie, the Secretary to the State Government – Chief Cosmas Iwu, SA to governor on Political Matters – Hon Enyinnaya Onuegbu, on their efforts towards ensuring the success of APC in the state.
Speaking to Newsmen in an interview, one of the groups, “APC Media and Mobilization”, noted through its Chairman, Hon Unuero Sylvester that the Governor’s second term is non-negotiable.
