Late former governorship candidate, Dr. Collins Obih ‘s son, Dike Obih, has urged Governor Hope Uzodimma to, as a matter of urgency, begin the reconstruction of the Okwelle-Dikenafai-Isiekenesi-Ntueke Road.

In a chat with National Newsblast Newspaper on Saturday 7th June, 2025, Obih decried the bad condition of the road that has become a dreaded nightmare to motorists and Indigenes of Ideato South Local Government Area of Imo State with headquarters in Dikenafai.

Obih, whose father left a legacy after his death in 1990, said the reconstruction of the road would enhance the standard of living of the citizens.

Speaking in the same vein, Chief Thadius Orisakwe, a cabinet Chief in Dikenafai, told our reporter, “The fact that the wife of the Governor is an indigene of Ideato South LGA should attract dividends of democracy such as the reconstruction of the road to the area before the end of the tenure of Governor Hope Uzodimma “

Meanwhile, National Newsblast Newspaper checks revealed that Uzodimma stands by his promise to rebuild the road, saying that the Craneburg Construction Company Limited will start work on the road immediately after the company completes the Orlu-Akokwa-Ugah Road project.
