Retired Brigadier -General, Cyril Ikechukwu Ezeka who hails from Awalla Autonomous Community in Ideato South LGA of Imo State, has intervened for peace to reign amidst the controversy surrounding false claims by a female singer from Awalla (name withheld) in her recently released song in which she claimed that Isiekenesi Autonomous Community is not the head of the six Autonomous Communities in Isiekenesi Ancient Kingdom.
It would be recalled that HRH Eze Ejiogu Ikpa, Ononigwe V, Gburugburu of Isiekenesi Ancient Kingdom, led his cabinet Chiefs to file a complaint with the traditional ruler of Awalla, giving the singer a thirty-day ultimatum to withdraw the song from her Facebook page and other platforms and tender a letter of apology for the misinformation that went viral.
National Newsblast investigations revealed that following Ezeka ‘s intervention, the song was withdrawn as directed and the singer would soon come to the palace of Eze Ejiogu Ikpa with a letter of apology to rest the matter.
The six Autonomous Communities in Isiekenesi Ancient Kingdom are Isiekenesi, Umuojisi, Dimagu, Okohia, Umuaghobe and
Awalla.
National Newsblast Newspaper recalls that the forebears of the former All Progressives Congress governorship candidate, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu migrated from Umuojisi to Obaire (Obi a, oga ere?) which means, “Will this new homestead materialise”?in neighbouring Nkwerre Local Government Area.
The tabloid also recalls that similarly, the forebears of former Imo State Governor, His Excellency, Dr. Ikedi Godson Ohakim, migrated from Umuduruolome in Okohia Autonomous Community to Okohia in Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State where they retained the name of their original land, Okohia, in Isiekenesi Ancient Kingdom.
