Organizers of the Imo International Film Festival (IIFF) have announced the official call for entries for the festival’s second edition scheduled to hold from July 23 to 25, 2026.
President of IIFF, Hon. Donatus Nkemdirim, made the announcement during an interaction with journalists in Owerri, the Imo State capital.
He revealed that filmmakers can now submit their works—including feature films, short films, documentary films and more—through the festival’s official FilmFreeway link:

Hon. Nkemdirim described IIFF as a vibrant and prestigious platform dedicated to celebrating the art of filmmaking while showcasing the industry’s potential for economic growth and empowerment. He noted that the festival also provides an opportunity to recognize and honour outstanding talents across various fields of film production.

According to Nkemdirim, a foremost marketer and filmmaker, eligible entries must be films produced between 2021 and the present, and submissions are accepted for both released and unreleased movies.
He disclosed that the deadline for submission is February 28th while the extended deadline is March 28th, ahead of the festival scheduled to take place from July 23 to 25, 2026.
