Ahead of the 2027 general elections, a group under the aegis of the Ezinihitte Brethren Movement for Barrister Success Akagburuonye has pledged to mobilise support for frontline governorship hopeful, Chief Success Akagburuonye.

The group made the commitment when its members paid a solidarity visit to Chief Akagburuonye at Ogbor Uvuru in Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State.

The Coordinator of the Ezinihitte Brethren Movement for Barrister Success, Reverend Komich Nwogu, said the movement was formed following the Easter Retreat of the Assemblies of God Church, Mbaise District, where Chief Akagburuonye, according to him, raised millionaires, supported several individuals and empowered others.

Reverend Nwogu said the group was established in appreciation of Chief Akagburuonye’s philanthropic activities and to support his governorship ambition.

He pledged the group’s commitment to mobilising support for the aspirant, noting that possession of a Permanent Voter’s Card was one of the major criteria for membership.

Reverend Nwogu described the group’s earlier intensive PVC registration exercise across Ezinihitte Mbaise as a major milestone.

The group also appealed to Chief Akagburuonye to provide a date for its formal inauguration.

The official presentation of the group’s branded T-shirts and caps was subsequently made by Ambassador Onyebuchi Onyeikegbulem on behalf of the members.

Responding, Chief Success Akagburuonye expressed appreciation for the visit and commended the members for what he described as their spirit of sacrifice and commitment.

He urged them to constitute an inauguration committee ahead of his mother’s burial, assuring them that their efforts would not be in vain.

Chief Akagburuonye encouraged the group to remain focused on its objectives, while appreciating the members for committing their time, energy and resources to what he described as an effort aimed at contributing to a better Imo State.

Chief Akagburuonye also invited members of the group to his mother’s burial scheduled for November 6, 2026, and promised to provide logistics and other necessary support for their participation.
