Stanley Okehie Chibueze hails from Ezi-Umuezeawala Village in Ihiala Local Government Area, Anambra State. I had my primary education at Central School 1 Owerri and proceeded to Holy Ghost College, Owerri in 1999. I completed my Senior Secondary Education under Government Scholarship, for emerging one of the three best students with outstanding results in Junior School Certificate Examination, JSCE.
In 2005, I obtained the West African Examination Council (WAEC) Certificate and sat for the General Certificate Examination, GCE in 2006, before proceeding to Alliance Francaise Computer Institute for a Diploma Certificate in Desktop Publishing and Computer Appreciation.
In 2007, I gained admission into the Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) and graduated from the Department of Biochemistry in 2012 with a CGPA of 3.17, Second Class Honours.
I did my National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Ekiti state where I distinguished myself by emerging one of the three best writers, out of the over 1500 Corps Members that participated in an Essay Competition organized by the then State Coordinator, NYSC, Lady Nkiruka Ngozika Chukwuka. I was handsomely rewarded for this rare feat.
I left Ekiti State as a PAPA, National Association of Catholic Corps Members (NACC) and President, Iloro Corpers’ Forum, positions that endeared me to the villagers and fellow Corps Members.
Few months after my youth service, due to unavailability of job as a Biochemist and my growing interest in writing, I enrolled into the International Institute of Journalism, IIJ, Abuja, OwerriStudy Center (an Affiliate of University of Maiduguri, BornoState), where I bagged a Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism (PGDJ) in 2016 with an Upper Credit.
Armed with a Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism, I worked as a reporter, National Gazette Newspaper 2016 – 2018 and later in 2018, emerged Editor of the Newspaper till 2020, when I left National Gazette for Nigerian Newsguide. I am currently the Editor of Nigerian Newsguide Newspaper.
Prior to my post graduate studies, I had served in various media outfits in various capacities, either as a Page Layout Editor, Production Editor, Reporter or News Editor. The media outfits included National Question (2009), Newsbearer (2010), Union Mail (2011), African Herald Express (2012), Newsblast (2013), Diamond Express (2013), Igbolive24/7 (2014), Aniocha News in Delta State (2015) and Newsfield (2018).
Between 2016 and 2018, I served as an Aide to Hon. Mrs. Ogechi Ololo who was then, among other portfolios, the Commissioner incharge of Ministry of Happiness and Purpose Fulfilment, Imo State Government House, Owerri – a position, I also used to perform the duties of a Desk Officer for the federal government-sponsored N-Power Programme in Imo State.
I am presently, the Editor of Nigerian Newsguide Newspaper – a Southeast newspaper based in Imo State and also the Publisher of newsplanet.com.ng; an online newspaper.
I have excellent public relation skills, communication and interpersonal skills. I also have the ability to foster a lively, enthusiastic and positive changes. I am detail oriented, flexible and adaptable to changes. I have the ability to organize and prioritize work load effectively. I also have the ability to work in a team or independently. I am a critical thinker, outgoing, dynamic and fun personality.
Writing, Reading Newspapers, Journals, Novels and biographies are my hobbies.
It is my firm belief that: “when one continues to do good, evil ceases to come his way.”
I am a die-hard fan of Arsenal Football Club, a Table Tennis and Snooker enthusiast as well.
