Philanthropist and Imo State governorship hopeful, Chief Success Akagburuonye has congratulated Nigerians, particularly the people of Imo State on the occasion of the country’s 66th Independence Anniversary.
In a goodwill message to mark the anniversary, Chief Akagburuonye said Nigeria’s journey since gaining independence from British colonial rule on October 1, 1960, had been marked by significant progress, despite the challenges encountered along the way.

He said the anniversary provides an opportunity for Nigerians to reflect on the nation’s achievements, appreciate the sacrifices of past leaders and citizens, and renew their commitment to building a more peaceful, prosperous and united country.
The philanthropist also commended the people of Imo State for their resilience, enterprise and contributions to national development. He noted that under the administration of Governor Hope Uzodimma, the state had witnessed interventions in several sectors, including road infrastructure, education, healthcare, technology and public services.
According to him, the various development initiatives of the Uzodimma administration are aimed at improving the quality of life of Imo people and creating an environment conducive to economic growth and investment. He urged citizens to continue to support initiatives that promote peace, development, unity and the wellbeing of the people.
Chief Akagburuonye called on Nigerians, especially the younger generation to remain hopeful about the future of the country and contribute positively to its development. He expressed optimism that with responsible leadership, patriotism, unity and collective effort, Nigeria would continue to make progress and attain its full potential.
He wished President Bola Tinubu, Governor Hope Uzodimma, other leaders and all Nigerians a peaceful and memorable 66th Independence Anniversary, urging citizens to celebrate the nation while remaining committed to building a stronger Nigeria for present and future generations.
