As the world marks the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, beneficiaries of the Ngozi RBK Okafor Family Foundation have expressed deep appreciation to the Foundation for its continued support in alleviating the suffering of many families.
One of the beneficiaries, Miss Chinaza Emmanuella Oputa, who recently graduated from the Department of English Education, Alvan Ikoku Federal University of Education, Owerri, said her joy knew no bounds as a recipient of the Foundation’s scholarship scheme, which covered both her tuition fees and living expenses.
Miss Oputa, who hails from Orsu Obodo in Oguta Local Government Area, thanked the Foundation for helping her actualize her dream of becoming a graduate when all hope seemed lost. She noted that the scholarship not only supported her education but also contributed to her personal growth and boosted her confidence.
She pledged to remain a good ambassador of the Ngozi RBK Okafor Family Foundation, adding that society would be better if more individuals like Mrs. Ngozi RBK Okafor, Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation, took up leadership roles and followed the Foundation’s example of service and compassion.
Miss Oputa emphasized that this year’s International Day for the Eradication of Poverty holds great significance, as it highlights the struggles many families face in raising their children and funding their education. She commended the Foundation for its consistent show of love and commitment to improving the lives of the less privileged.
She further described the Foundation’s poverty eradication efforts through empowerment initiatives and scholarships as “top-notch,” and called on public-spirited individuals to emulate its humanitarian gestures.
