The National President of Hope Rising for Imolites, Chief Success Akagburuonye, has warmly welcomed President Bola Tinubu to Imo State as he visits to unveil a book chronicling the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s ten years in office and commission some of Governor Hope Uzodimma’s landmark projects.
Chief Akagburuonye described President Tinubu’s visit as historic, noting that it underscores the Federal Government’s support for developmental strides in Imo. He emphasized that the dual event, book unveiling and project commissioning, reflects the APC’s commitment to good governance and accountability.
The philanthropist commended Governor Uzodimma for embarking on people-oriented projects that have transformed the socio-economic landscape of the state. He highlighted the 26-kilometer Owerri-Mbaise-Obowo-Umuahia road, which has not only eased transportation but also enhanced trade and commerce across communities in Imo and neighboring Abia State.
Chief Akagburuonye also praised the construction of a new flyover linking Port Harcourt and Onitsha, coupled with the improvement of the Assumpta Cathedral roundabout in Owerri. He said the project has significantly decongested traffic, improved safety for commuters, and added aesthetic value to the state capital.
He further lauded the delivery of the brand-new, ultra-modern Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu International Conference Center, Owerri, describing it as a befitting landmark that positions Imo as a hub for tourism, business, and international events. He maintained that such projects are proof of Governor Uzodimma’s vision for infrastructural renewal.
Chief Akagburuonye expressed optimism that President Tinubu’s presence will inspire more federal attention to Imo’s development needs. He urged Imolites to rally behind Governor Uzodimma and the APC government at all levels to ensure sustained progress and prosperity in the state.
