….As Women, Youths, and Support Groups Throw Their Weight Behind Her Ambition

There was jubilation on Wednesday across the Nkwerre/Isu/Nwangele/Njaba Federal Constituency as frontline aspirant for the House of Representatives, Mrs. Queen Chinyere Tim-Opurum, visited the four Local Government Areas that make up the constituency ahead of the forthcoming primaries of the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Women, youths, critical stakeholders of the APC, and various support groups trooped out en masse in the different LGAs to witness the rally and warmly welcome the philanthropist, Mrs. Queen Chinyere.
The women, youths, and support groups carried placards with various inscriptions such as: “Queen Chinyere Opurum is a promise keeper — go and verify,” “We must take our destiny into our hands by supporting women with good track records who are ready to bring positive change,” and “This time around, we must change the narrative because change is inevitable,” while chanting solidarity songs in support of her ambition.
Speaking during the events held in the various LGAs, Mrs. Queen Chinyere stated that the purpose of her visit was to solicit support for her ambition ahead of the APC primaries and urged party members and constituents to vote for her.
She promised effective representation if elected as a lawmaker and reminded the people that through her selfless efforts and personal resources, many residents of Nkwerre/Isu/Nwangele/Njaba Federal Constituency had benefited from her philanthropic gestures and foundation without government support.
The hopeful aspirant pointed out that she had rendered humanitarian services to many people within the constituency, especially the less privileged, through poverty alleviation programmes, healthcare delivery, human empowerment initiatives, scholarships, and other interventions.
She stated that her legislative priorities would include sponsoring and supporting bills that directly improve the welfare of constituents, advocating for laws that promote economic inclusion, job creation, and social protection, while ensuring that every legislative action reflects the needs of the people of Nkwerre/Isu/Nwangele/Njaba Federal Constituency.
Mrs. Queen further emphasized that she would focus on women and gender inclusion laws, youth development and employment legislation, agriculture and rural development policies, education reform and access, as well as effective oversight and accountability.
She also reaffirmed her willingness to align with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in order to translate grassroots realities into effective laws and policies that would benefit both the constituency and the nation at large.
Mrs. Queen commended the Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma, for his developmental projects across the State.
In their separate remarks, the APC Chairman of Njaba LGA, Chief Chukwudi Egeuka; the APC Chairman of Isu LGA, Hon. Chris Ibeh; and the APC Chairman of Nkwerre LGA, Hon. Ugochukwu Ibekwe, assured Mrs. Queen of the Party’s support.
They pledged that the party would play its role in ensuring the success of her ambition.
Also speaking, the Women Leader from Isu LGA, Mrs. Mercy Njoku, stated that women were solidly behind Mrs. Queen Chinyere and expressed confidence that she would perform excellently if elected.
