Curiosity has engulfed Imo State in Nigeria’s South East region as a billionaire former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Dr. Pastor Uche Nwole, has bought expression of interest and nomination forms for the local government area chairmanship elections slated for Saturday September 21st, 2024.
When National Newsblast Newspaper contacted the former federal lawmaker and former governorship election aspirant on the platform of Progressive People’s Alliance (PPA) who campaigned with a helicopter years ago for clarifications, he replied, “Yes, it is true.”
On why he took the decision, Nwole replied, “My area of Mbaitoli has always been marginalized. Whenever a position is vacant, the other side would snatch it. Enough is enough. Let me see how they will disqualify me because I know that I am over-qualified for the position”
