A chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC) from Omuma Autonomous Community in Oru East Local Government Area, Chief Lawson Okafor (Omeihiukwu Omuma) has described Governor Hope Uzodinma as the real face of democracy and good governance in the state.
He said that the shared prosperity administration led by Sen. Hope Uzodinma has shown capacity in leadership, infrastructural development, youth empowerment and road construction, stressing that his recorded achievements in the last 3 year’s speak volume.
Chief Okafor also said that the re-election of the governor come November 11 Gubernatorial election is sacrosanct having performed creditably well in his first tenure.
According to him, governor Hope Uzodinma is real, he is the future of Imo state in this 21st century, his government policies has benefitted the poorest citizens, the Imo State Health Insurance Agency programme established by the governor has been offering free healthcare services to both children and the elderly in the various communities, this government has also trained over 15,000 Imo youths under the skill-up programme, this will help them to be self employed and employers of labour in the near future.
“These achievements are verifiable, Imo state has not seen this magnitude of development since after the time of late Dr. Sam Mbakwe of blessed memory and the best we can do is to mobilize support for his re-election to enable him consolidate on his projects.”
Chief Okafor also charged party stakeholders to be resilient and formidable in their consultation strategy while urging them to take the campaign to the grassroot where majority of voters are domiciled.
