Group Partner Min.of Labour to Organize Skill Acquisition Training.

The Skills of Hope Initiative in conjunction with Prolific Women Initiative, powered by the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Productivity has organized a 2 day skill acquisition program in production of house hold cleaning detergents, insecticides and antiseptic liquids.
The training held in Owerri, Monday 28th to 29th August, 2023 at the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Productivity conference hall.
Special Adviser to the Governor of Imo State on Secondary Education Management Board, SEMB Prince Ezeala Ferdinand Akano commended the organisers of the programme for giving opportunity to young Imolites to acquire self reliant skills to enable them become entrepreneurs in the future.
The Programme which was put together by Prolific Women Initiative led by Lady Chioma Igwe, in collaboration with the Office of the Governor on Skills Acquisition led by Hon Chidi Onyebuchi, had participants trained on the production of house hold cleaning agents.
The Special Adviser to governor on skill acquisition Hon. Chidi Onyebuchi used the opportunity to highlight the need for more collaborative efforts among Ministries, Departments and Agencies of Government towards achieving the objectives of the Shared Prosperity Government of His Excellency of Senator Hope Uzodimma.
He expressed satisfaction that most of the participants in the program are Senior Secondary School Students, who would derive much benefits from learning one skill or the other, that would be of immense benefit to them in future.
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Labour, Employment and Productivity, Comrade Sir Basil Iwu who declared the Training open urged participants to pay attention to the resource persons in order to maximize the opportunities created by the programme.
He expressed gratitude with the turnout of the event and thanked the guests for finding time to be present.
Also present at the event were Director of Research, Planning and Statistics, Mrs. Nnenna Njiribeakor; Head of Department of Skills Acquisition, Mrs. Amaka Umeh; Head of Department of Entrepreneurship, Comrade Kelechi Ekomaru, Hon Special Adviser to the Governor on Educational intervention, Princess Esther Ukachukwu.
