The Director-General of the Coalition of Igbo Youth Leaders in South-East Nigeria, Hon. Dr. Wilson Ekwerekwu, has urged youths to participate in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s innovative programs to reap benefits from his administration and provide sustained support.

He made the assertion in his New Year message to Coalition of Igbo Youth Leaders members in Southeast Nigeria, emphasizing that the Bola Tinubu administration is establishing open, responsive, and accountable institutions and processes that cater to public needs and preferences.

According to him, the Coalition of Igbo Youth Leaders in South-East Nigeria is a Pan-Democratic group established to promote the comprehensive participation of Igbo people in the economic development and integration of the region, reinforcing national democratic institutions, politics, good governance, and the rule of law.

He stated that the group’s concept is to actively engage individuals from the South-East region, particularly the youth, in discussions and decision-making processes regarding the challenges facing the region, by fostering awareness of policies and programs aimed at strengthening national solidarity, cooperation, and development, promoting peace, security, and stability, and contributing to the harmonization and inclusivity of government.

Reaffirming the Group’s commitment to supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Administration, he highlighted that the group participates in the political process, holds political leaders accountable for their commitments, and fosters a space for expression and action to drive transformative change in our country. “We reject the path of violence,” he maintained.

He emphasized the need for President Tinubu to steadfastly uphold his patriotic duties and resolute commitment to revitalizing Nigeria, while also encouraging Nigerians to reaffirm their dedication to national unity, peace, and advancement.
