A Chieftain of the Labour Party and Ikeduru LGA Coordinator, Senator Ezenwa Onyewuchi Campaign Organization, Chief Chijioke Isdore has praised the people of Owerri Zone following their massive support to the party in the state.
Senator Onyewuchi was declared winner of the February 25 National Assembly election for Imo East, after polling 100,631 votes to defeat his closest rival, Uche Onyeagocha of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who scored 87,229 votes.
Speaking to newsmen in Owerri, weekend, Ikeduru LGA Coordinator of Senator Ezenwa Onyewuchi Campaign Organization, Chief Chijioke Isdore, popularly known as Chiglo said he foretold Senator Onyewuchi’s victory considering the Labour Party tsunami across the nation coupled with the Senator’s long list of achievements as a federal lawmaker.
“Senator Onyewuchi performed above average and expectations in these past years”, Hon Isdore submitted.
He argued that Senator Onyewuchi is more experienced and would do a better job than those who contested the seat with him.
Chief Isdore, who is a former Councilor of Inyishi/Umudim Ward enjoined Senator Onyewuchi’s rivals to join hands and develop Owerri Zone, noting that the Senator is magnanimous in victory.
He emphasized that Ezenwa is returning to the senate as a ranking member, and would use such a position to attract more democracy dividends to the good people of Imo East Senatorial district.
