The Imo International Film Festival (IIFF) is set to return for its 2nd edition from 23rd to 25th July 2026 at Havana Cinemas, New Owerri, bringing together filmmakers, creatives, students, investors, and culture lovers for three days of cinema, masterclasses, and networking.
Following the success of its debut, IIFF 2026 aims to position Imo State as a rising hub for Nigeria’s creative economy. The festival will feature film screenings, panel discussions with industry leaders, talent showcases, and opportunities for young creatives to connect with investors and established professionals.

Why You Should Attend IIFF 2026:
1. For Creatives & Students: Gain direct access to mentorship, workshops, and pitching sessions with top filmmakers, producers, and media executives. It’s the fastest way to break into Nollywood and the digital content space.
2. For Businesses & Investors: Connect with a vibrant audience of young consumers and discover partnership opportunities within film, tourism, fashion, and tech. IIFF is where culture meets commerce.
3. For Imo State: The festival drives tourism, creates jobs, and showcases Imo’s talent to a national audience. It puts Owerri on the map as a destination for arts and culture.
4. For Everyone: Experience world-class films, live performances, and the energy of Imo’s creative community – all in one place.

“IIFF exists to tell our stories, empower our youth, and grow Imo’s creative economy,” said the Founder and President Hon. Chikezie Don Nkems . “This year, we’re going bigger – and we want the whole state to be part of it.”
