The National President of National Progressive Youth Association, High Chief, Apostle Declan Anyanwu disclosed this in an interview with Journalists in Owerri, the Imo State capital.
He enjoined every upcoming artist to seize the opportunity and build their career by participating actively during the festival.
Anyanwu, who is also the former Sole Administrator of Actors Guild of Nigeria, Imo State Chapter said the festival would also impact knowledge on actors and actresses across the nation, and as well further transform Imo into Nigeria’s entertainment and creative hub.
“Both Directors, Producers and Film Makers are going to benefit a lot from the film festival”, Anyanwu added.
He commended the President of Imo International Film Festival, Hon. Don Nkemdirim Chikezie, Don Nkems for the initiative, describing it as the first of it’s kind.
Imo film festival with the theme: ‘Film, A Veritable Tool for Economic Empowerment’ is billed to hold from July 25th to 27th and will feature workshop, training, city tour, awards presentation and many others.
Veterans in the movie industry will attend the festival.
