Imo State Government through State Universal Basic Education Board ( SUBEB) has officially flagged –Off Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC)/State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) 2023/2024 Teachers Professionals Development Programs (TPD).

Speaking during the ceremony at Imo State IMSUBEB Complex , the Board Chairman IMSUBEB ,Hon Chidiebere Egboh said that the training will focus on various core areas such as School Based Training, Head Teachers /Leadership Training, Jolly Phonics.


Hon Egboh maintained that the training also include Early Childhood Care Development In Education , Strengthen Mathematics And Science Education, Strengthen Teachers English Proficiency etc.


The IMSUBEB Board Chairman described the program as a commitment to the future of Imo Children and the teachers who are the backbone of the educational system, adding that the teachers are the cornerstone upon which the edifice of quality education is built.


“We have gathered 6,003 teachers from across the state,a testament to importance we place on empowering our workforce in the education sector by investing in our teachers”
Egboh Commended the State Governor , Senator Hope Uzodimma for his commitment towards transformation of Education sector in the state.


He thank the UBEC Abuja , Development Agencies, NGOs and Various Stakeholders for their collaboration in making the training a reality and urged the teachers to take the advantage of the training.
Also Speaking the State NUT Chairman ,Dr Nwansi Philip Commended the State Governor for providing conducive environment for IMSUBEB.


In her speech the Director TPD Ojimba Ethel Ifeyinwa thank Governor Uzodimma for his support towards the success of the program.
