An appeal has gone to well meaning individuals and organizations for financial assistance to save the life of Mr. Kenneth Osuagwu.

Kenneth Osuagwu is the number one goalkeeper of Community Secondary School Ogbor Ugiri, who sustained a severe spinal cord injury on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, during a friendly football match with Umuozu Secondary School.

In his courageous attempt to save his team, he suffered a devastating injury that has left him unable to move his right arm and both legs.

The traditional ruler of Ogbor Autonomous Community in Isiala Mbano local government area, Eze Matthew Oweni, who confirmed the story to be true, has called on the people of Ogbor, both home and in the diaspora, all public spirited individuals, organizations and governments to help and give Kenneth the chance to live and walk again.

In a letter entitled, ‘Urgent Appeal For Financial Assistance To Save Kenneth Osuagwu’, endorsed by the Principal of Community Secondary School Ogbor Ugiri, Mrs. Agbaraji RN and the Sports Master, Mr. Bruno Obiagha, Kenneth Osuagwu is suffering from a spinal cord injury and needs N4,300,000 for surgical and medical care treatment according to doctors at the Federal University Teaching Hospital Owerri.

“Unfortunately, neither Kenneth’s family nor the school can afford this amount and time is running out”, the letter disclosed.

The school is therefore, appealing to all well-meaning individuals and organizations to help raise the money and save Kenneth’s life.
