Peoples Democratic Party candidate for Ihiala 1 constituency, Barr Okwy Ejezie has condoled the Ezeogu family and the people of Umuireagwu in Umuelechi Umuezeawala, over the demise of their father, late Chief Polycarp Onyeama Ezeogu (Ezeloma Obiafuruaku), whose funeral held last Friday, February 17.
Ejezie described the deceased as a true ally, who dedicated his lifetime in championing the course of humanity.
Recalling Ezeogu’s immeasurable support when he first contested the Ihiala 1 State Assembly seat, the PDP candidate hinted that the deceased would have supported his aspiration more than he did in the past.
“Your father’s death pains me a lot. If he had been alive today, he would have supported my aspiration, the way he did before”, Ejezie told the family, while noting that his death was a huge loss to the family and the entire Umuezeawala community.
He stressed that late Ezeloma Obiafuraku laid a solid foundation for peace, and prayed for the peaceful repose of his soul.
The House of Assembly hopeful enjoined the immediate family to sustain their father’s legacies and also urged them to find solace in the fact that their late father lived a good Christian life worthy of emulation.
