Founder celebrates birthday with the disable

Sam Elias Foundation is a non governmental organization committed to fostering inclusivity and empowerment of people living with disabilities through sports and other activities to harness their potentials.

The Founder of the NGO, Mr. Sam Elias, stated this on Sunday during the official launch of the Foundation at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri, an occasion he used to celebrate his birthday.

Elias, who expressed his commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of people in need in society, stressed that the theme of the event “Restoring Hope”, would be a guiding principle that would shape the Foundation’s mission and actions in the years ahead.

“Through our various initiatives, programs and partnerships, we are committed to restoring hope in the hearts of those who have lost it, providing support to the vulnerable and marginalized, and empowering individuals to overcome challenges and fulfil their potentials”, he noted.

Elias, who is also the Convener of Restoring Hope, reassured of his avowed determination to be a catalyst for positive change, advocate for justice and equality, and champion of hope for all.

He thanked his partners and supporters for their unwavering commitment and solicited for stronger partnership to create a brighter and inclusive future for all.

Earlier, Mr James Victor who represented the Director of Sports, Imo State Sports Commission, Sir Ferdinand Emeana had thanked Elias for his show of philanthropy and promised to support the foundation.

Head Coach of the Imo Parasoccer Team, Prince Murphy Nwankwere showered encomiums on the Founder and pledged the support of his team to ensure full realization of the Foundation’s goals.

The highpoint of the occasion was the cutting of the Founder’s birthday cake, dance by S.K.D Dance group and Parasoccer match.
