Nigerians all over the world have been advised to support and vote for candidates of Labour Party in the February 25 and March 11 polls.

Labour Party House of Assembly candidate for Owerri Municipal State Constituency, Hon. Clinton Amadi gave the advice last week, while addressing party faithful at Ikenegbu Ward 1 and Azu Uzii Ward IV.

Amadi contended that the forthcoming polls would present another opportunity for Nigerians to correct their past mistakes, lamenting the hardship and suffering that had plagued citizens since the present democratic dispensation.

He also averred that political parties that had been power in the past 16 years offered Nigerians nothing but destruction of the economy leading to severe hardship, hunger and starvation.

Stressing that the coming elections is the last chance to remain alive in Nigeria, Amadi advised Nigerians to vote candidates with such competence to lead the nation out of the doldrums.

He appealed to Nigerians to remain strong and confident that the nation will regain her lost glory when the Labour party presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi assumes office as the number one citizen.

The former Majority Leader and Member, Chartered Insurance, Lagos hinted that Obi is the most popular presidential candidate in Nigeria and would ensure an end to the many years of the nation’s leadership ineptitude.

“It is no longer business as usual, let’s take our anger to the polling unit and vote out the bad leaders. Our protest ground is our polling booths and our placard is our PVCs. If you don’t have PVC, encourage those that have to vote for the best candidate. Peter Obi is the best candidate, everybody should come out en masse, support and vote for him”, Amadi emphasized.

He also solicited for votes for other candidates of the party.

The House of Assembly hopeful promised to recover Owerri Municipal on the 11th of March, assuring of a new dawn when elected.

“By God’s grace, if elected, I will emerge Speaker of the House of Assembly and also Speaker of all Speakers in Nigeria”, Amadi affirmed, while declaring to bring his experience to bear, so as to properly reposition the state constituency for better opportunities.

He thanked Owerri constituents for their overwhelming support to Labour Party and their efforts at making the constituency the safest place in the State.
