A philanthropist and National President of Hope Rising for Imolites, Chief Success Akagburuonye, has pledged support for the proposed College of Nursing Sciences in Ezinihitte Mbaise Local Government Area.
He made the pledge when the Bishop of Mbaise Anglican Diocese, the Right Reverend Chamberlain Ogunedo, paid him a courtesy visit at his country home in Ogbor Uvuru, Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area.
Chief Akagburuonye described the visit as a great honour and assured the Bishop that the proposed College of Nursing Sciences would form part of his investments to the Church Of Christ.
He urged Christians to support projects that promote the work of God and contribute to societal development, stressing that one does not need to be a billionaire to invest in the kingdom of God.
Drawing inspiration from the Holy Bible, he cited King David’s joy at being invited into the House of God and the story of the widow whose sacrificial giving attracted divine blessings.
Chief Akagburuonye noted that his numerous testimonies and successes in life were products of God’s blessings and the prayers of people who have benefited from his philanthropic activities and support for kingdom projects.
Earlier, the Bishop of Mbaise Anglican Diocese, Right Reverend Chamberlain Ogunedo, said the visit was to appreciate Chief Akagburuonye for his philanthropic contributions and to encourage him to continue his humanitarian services.
The Bishop also presented him with a copy of the Synod Presidential Address and informed him of the church’s plan to establish a College of Nursing Sciences.
He further invited Chief Akagburuonye to the Silver Jubilee Anniversary of Mary Sumner Juniorate, Okpofe, scheduled for October this year, and wished him success in his 2027 political aspiration.
The Bishop was accompanied on the visit by the traditional ruler of Okpofe Autonomous Community, Eze Reginald Aguwamba, Sir Chibuzo Enwereuzo, Chief Goddy Madugba, and other notable personalities.
