‎A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and National President of Hope Rising for Imolites, Chief Success Akagburuonye, has reaffirmed his commitment to the development of Imo State, as he held a thanksgiving service to appreciate God for a successful 60th birthday celebration.



‎The well-attended ceremony was held at Noah’s Ark, Assemblies of God Church, Ogbor Uvuru in Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area.

‎Speaking at the service, Chief Akagburuonye expressed deep gratitude to God for His sustained blessings upon him and his household, stressing that thanksgiving remains a vital obligation for every individual who enjoys divine favour. He noted that his 60th birthday celebration was not only successful but also incident-free, a development he attributed to God’s protection and the improved security situation in Imo State.

‎Chief Akagburuonye also extended heartfelt appreciation to all those who honoured his birthday celebration, describing their overwhelming support as a source of encouragement. He used the occasion to reiterate his resolve to continue contributing meaningfully to the growth of Mbaise and Imo State, pledging to complement government’s efforts by attracting more developmental projects to the area.

‎While commending Governor Hope Uzodimma for what he described as remarkable strides in infrastructure and security, Akagburuonye assured that private individuals must also play active roles in advancing the state’s development.

‎In his remark, a former member representing Nkwerre/Isu/Nwangele/Njaba Federal Constituency, Hon. Ugonna Ozuruigbo, described him as a selfless leader whose contributions continue to impact lives positively. He expressed confidence in a brighter future for the state, while also acknowledging the governor’s efforts, particularly in road development.

‎Also speaking, Dr. Humble Chimaobi highlighted Chief Akagburuonye’s commitment to healthcare delivery in Mbaise, disclosing that the APC chieftain has invested over ₦150 million in medical outreaches in Mbaise.

‎Other speakers, including Mrs. Meg Anosike of Imo Women for Success, the Chairperson of the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA), Imo Chapter, Phil Amefule, and Mrs. Chigozie Nwobi, commended Chief Akagburuonye’s humanitarian spirit and unwavering dedication to the welfare of the people, assuring him of their continued support in his future endeavours.
