Labour Party candidate for Owerri Municipal state constituency in the March 11 ( now March 18) House of Assembly election, Hon Clinton Amadi has assured the people of Imo State, particularly residents and natives of Owerri Municipal that the presidential candidate of the party, Mr Peter Obi will certainly reclaim his mandate.
Amadi gave the assurance, Tuesday, during a tour of the Owerri metropolis.
Accompanied by some members of the party in a motorcade, Amadi advised constituents to be patient and watch God of justice answer their prayers.
He thanked them for coming out en masse in support of Labour Party in the February 25 polls, and reminded them of the need to do it again come Saturday, March 18 House of Assembly election.
The former lawmaker promised not to disappoint them and vowed to prioritize their welfare and safety when elected.
He debunked insinuations that Labour Party has no candidate for Owerri Municipal as bandied about by those Amadi described as loafers, whose stock in trade is peddling falsehood.
“Obviously, these loafers and agents of darkness are at it again. They are afraid of the Labour Party tsunami that is sweeping across the federation. Labour Party will defeat them again, just as we did in the last election. My good people, disregard any rumour against my candidacy. There is no iota of truth in it. Labour Party will be in the ballot on Saturday March 18 and I enjoin you, Ndi Owerri Municipal particularly, to please once again, vote for me as you did for our beloved President, Peter Obi.”
