The Federal Government says it has taken a bold step to reposition Federal Housing Authority as a prime housing delivery organ of the Federal Republic of Nigeria by embarking on digital imprints of their lands and houses.
The Executive Director, Estate Services, Federal Housing Authority, Arc. Nya-Etok Ezekiel stated this during a press briefing at the Federal Secretariat in Owerri.
According to him, a lot of abnormalities had happened in the past which caused dilapidation of their houses and infrastructures, multi -allocation of one land to different people among other reasons, the Establishment set up strategies to enable house and land owners have the desired security and peace over their property.
“This Process which has just began in Southeast with Imo has taken off in North Central and South West Zones”, he added.
Arc. Nya-Etok disclosed that there were over 50 Estates of the Establishment across the country, noting that a well streamlined agreement had been reached following his meetings with the five residents association of the federal estates in Imo; Graceland, Arugo, Aladinma, Lower Irete and Egbeada.
“All allotees therefore, have been invited to the office for actual harmonization and to chart a positive way forward.
“To set the ball rolling, one of the biggest industrial drones had been acquired for effective mapping out of all estates for desired results”.
He appreciated the Chief Executive of Federal Housing Authority, Hon. Oyetunde Ojo for ensuring that the establishment is well positioned.
He thanked the president, Bola Tinubu for his support and efforts towards giving the Federal Housing Authority a facelift.
