Traditional Prime Minister, Umuanunuoke Autonomous Community in Okigwe Council Area, Chief Patrick Mbanusi says the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Samuel Anyanwu will protect his votes in the November 11 Imo State governorship election.
He therefore, urged Imolites to vote for PDP in the coming election, stressing that the Party’s candidate has the wherewithal to wrestle power from the incumbent governor, Hope Uzodimma of the ruling All Progressives Congress.
Mbanusi who disclosed this during a chat with newsmen in Owerri last week, also frowned at the outcome of the State Assembly election, but was quick to submit that PDP candidates will reclaim their mandates in the courts.
He tipped Anyanwu as the best man for the top Imo job, with the capacity to deliver democracy dividends.
“Samuel Anyanwu has the capacity to lead Imo to the promise land, he was a two-time LGA chairman, two-time House of Assembly member, has gone for senate, and today he is the national secretary of PDP. He has the capacity to match the incumbent governor”, Mbanusi assured.
Mbanusi described Anyanwu as a unifier and boasted that he has the necessary contacts and reach to protect his votes and ensure his victory in the coming election.
