Leader of the Movement for the Sovereign  State of Biafra (MASSOB), Barr. Ralph Uwazuruike, yesterday described the late President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo,  Chief Engr. Dr. Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, as a uniquely kind man.

Uwazuruike made the declaration during a condolence visit to Iwuanyanwu’s family in New Owerri where he was received by Iwuanyanwu’s son, Jude Iwuanyanwu and other family members.

In an exclusive interview with National Newsblast Newspaper shortly after the visit, Uwazuruike revealed that the title of Ijele Ndigbo previously held by late Biafran leader, General Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, was handed over to him by Eze Nri after Ojukwu’s death.

Uwazuruike further explained that the title is “Ofor Ndigbo”

He extolled the qualities of Iwuanyanwu saying “If you are not close to Iwuanyanwu, you will not know that he is a uniquely kind and humble man. Humble to a fault. I’m heavily heartbroken because his death has left a big vacuum in Igbo land”

Uwazuruike was accompanied on the visit by Dr. Samuel Emeka Ukaegbu, a former member of Imo State House of Assembly under the governor Achike Udenwa administration who was shedding tears in a chat with National Newsblast, saying, “There is a whole lot that many people do not know about the great attributes of Iwuanyanwu.”

Ukaegbu added, “I wish Iwuanyanwu had lived to witness the public presentation of a historic book on his life titled ‘Amazing Grace’s which will now be done in his absence after his burial”
