A philanthropist, Dr Chima Matthew Amadi has charged members of The Mazi Organization TMO to be disciples of good governance in their various communities.

He gave this charge on Tuesday during the inauguration of the structural head of The Mazi Organization (TMO) Owerri Federal Constituency at Government Technical College, GTC, Owerri.

Dr Amadi also berated the past leadership of imo state for neglecting landmark infrastructures in the state, adding that government owned schools have gone moribund which resulted to parents sending their children to private schools.

“Our companies, hotels and government institutions are no longer functional because of bad leadership, it is high time we rise up to the challenges of questioning our leaders, imo state is gradually becoming deserted, people no longer feel safe doing their business in the night because of insecurity, the state economy is dwindling by the day.

“We must stand to fight against bad leadership if we want to get it right, that is what Mazi organization stands for,” he said.

Earlier in his speech, the state Coordinator of TMO Comrade Obioma Onwuegbucha stated that the group was poised to sensitize Imolites to know their rights in order to stand against bad governance.
