Labour Party Committee Chairman, Special Duties, Dr. Emeka Mandela has urged Nigerians to play their individual roles and ensure the emergence of the party’s presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi in the February 25 presidential poll.
Mandela who stated this during the Labour Party Campaign Rally in Gombe State, recently, noted that time was rife to produce a president, citizens could be proud of.
He enjoined Nigerians to commit more effort at ensuring victory for Peter Obi, who Mandela said, has been waxing strong in the campaigns, proving that God is with him.
Mandela, a former presidential hopeful on the platform of Nigeria Rescue Movement described Obi as the only candidate with the competence and ability to offer uncommon leadership and deliver good governance such that a common man will have a say.
He stressed that Peter Obi’s record in public office speaks volume unlike those of his counterparts that were laced with treachery, betrayal and self-enrichment.
He regretted that peace in Nigeria today means that one will live in hiding, cowering from bandits or paying ransoms and promised that Peter Obi will address the problem of insecurity when elected.
