“We need justice for Baby Miracle” – – APGA Candidate, Akwaja calls on security agencies, relevant organizations

A leading contender in the race for Orlu State Constituency come 2023, Comrade Dr. Mrs. Justina Ekene Akwuaka-Akwaja (fIPMA, fILMMD), has come real hard on the security agencies following the delay in bringing to books one Mr. Confidence Amatobi, father of a two-month old baby, Miracle, whose arm was amputated as a result of injury sustained from the father’s beating.
Amatobi, a native of Amurie in Isu LGA, was reported to have fled from local vigilante after he was caught, following complaints by the wife that he repeatedly hit their baby with a plastic hanger because the baby was crying and disturbing his sleep.
Worried that the perpetrator is yet to be caught since after the incident hit the airwaves, Dr. Akwaja who is contesting on the platform of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) said “this is a call to all mothers in Imo state to rise up and defend this helpless child”, adding that she is ready to partner with all relevant organizations and lead a peaceful protest to Imo State Police Command if Amatobi was not found and made to face the full weight of the law.
“Women of Imo State will not rest until Miracle’s father is caught. This is injustice to a 60-day old baby.
“People are looking for children and God blessed this man with one, and all he could do is to wickedly damage the baby’s arm. He must be caught and justice be served as a deterrent to others who take the gift of GOD for granted”, Akwaja said.
She however, commended all individuals and organizations that had been at the fore front since the regretful event took place and called on the amiable wife of the Governor, all female Lawmakers, all relevant organizations and human right groups to champion this course for justice to prevail and forestall all future occurrences in the state and nation at large.
