Ahead of March 18 House of Assembly election, candidate for Ihiala 1 State Constituency, Barr Okwy Ejezie has solicited the support of members of Ihiala Social Club also known as Igwebuike.
Ejezie who is contesting on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party, promised to deliver democracy dividends that will shock constituents within four years in office.
“Give me four years and you will regret having left Ihiala 1 Assembly seat in the hands of those without the fear of God”, Ejezie said.
The PDP candidate who prided himself as one with integrity, also offered huge insights into his antecedents in service to the good people of Ihiala.
According to him, “when Ihiala indigenes in Lagos had issue with a meeting venue. I told them to give me three years as their president, I will buy land and build it for them. I did it.
“I was also made the secretary of the committee that raised money for the building of the Diocesan Secretariat at Nnewi.
“Today, there is no village in Umuezeawala without electricity. I was the secretary of the committee that made it possible.
“During the 2nd Synod of the Catholic Diocese of Nnewi, I had the privilege of delivering a lecture at the SYNOD. I was well appreciated and certificate given to me for a job well done.”
Speaking on behalf of the association, the President General, Igwebuike, Chief Val Dioha commended Barr Okwy Ejezie’s genuine desire to better the lots of Ndi Ihiala through the State Assembly and however, pledged the support of members.
